Politician
The politicians are either hungry for power and control, or completely ignorant of the effects of their decisions. In either case they inevitably make bad decisions.
But we cannot underestimate the human creativity. Humans will always find a way to overcome any bad decisions made by their politicians.
A few other things to keep in mind:
- the Epstein files, 2025
- Joe Biden's cocaine incident from July 2023
- Golfgate, or Oireachtas Golf Society scandal, Ireland, August 2020 -- 81 high-profile politicians having fun without restrictions, breaching all COVID regulations
- Hunter Biden laptop scandal, October 2020 -- sexually explicit videos of Biden with women & photos of him doing drugs in hotel rooms
- Keir Starmer's Beergate in April 2021 and Frockgate in 2024
- Boris Johnson's Partygate in 2020-2021 -- politician parties & sex, while the rest of the people were in COVID lockdowns
- Witman Hung's Partygate in Hong Kong, 3 January 2022 -- 225 people including several senior officials having fun, while the rest of the people were in COVID lockdowns
- Pizzagate, Comet Ping Pong pizza restaurant from Washington, March 2016

– Franklin D. Roosevelt
The supreme law of the State is self-preservation at any cost. And since all States, ever since they came to exist upon the earth, have been condemned to perpetual struggle - a struggle against their own populations, whom they oppress and ruin, a struggle against all foreign States, every one of which can be strong only if the others are weak - and since the States cannot hold their own in this struggle unless they constantly keep on augmenting their power against their own subjects as well as against the neighborhood States - it follows that the supreme law of the State is the augmentation of its power to the detriment of internal liberty and external justice.
– Mikhail Bakunin

Epstein, Western decline and the moral collapse of the elites

January 2026 marks a rupture. It is no longer possible to treat the Epstein case as a sexual scandal involving powerful individuals. What has now come to light - documents, images, records, explicit connections - has pushed the debate to another level. This is no longer about “abuses,” “excesses,” or “individual crimes.” What has been exposed points to systematic, organized, ritualized practices. That changes everything.
This is no longer about left and right, liberalism and conservatism. It is about a rupture between people and elites. Between societies that still retain some sense of limits and a ruling class that operates as if it were outside the common human species.
If there is anything positive in this moment, it is the end of naivety. It is no longer possible to pretend that the system is “sick but recoverable.” What remained of the Western (anti-)civilizational project has been corroded from within. What comes next is still uncertain and will be contested by all possible and necessary means.
But one thing is clear: after Epstein, nothing can continue as before. Anyone who acts as if nothing has changed either does not understand the gravity of what has come to light or is pretending not to understand.

Among America's political elite, Reuters found that: 5 Living Presidents, 2 Supreme Court Justices, 11 Governors & 100 Legislators… descend from ancestors who enslaved Black people.
More than 100 U.S. leaders - lawmakers, presidents, governors and justices - have slaveholding ancestors, a Reuters examination found. Few are willing to talk about their ties to America's "original sin".
Ancestral ties to slaveholders have been documented previously for a handful of leaders, including Biden, Obama and McConnell. Scholars and journalists have also extensively examined slavery and its legacy, including how the North profited from the institution, and the role slavery played in decisions of past political leaders during the formation of America and after emancipation.
