The meaning of life

Since I was big enough to talk, I searched for the meaning of life… and I found it. Again…
It’s not final and it’s not the first time I found it, but this time I have a better answer.

A BEING's only meaning is to BE, not to DO. That's it's called a "being", and not a "doing". This is the meaning of life.
A being doesn’t need to do anything for a meaning. It is enough TO BE.
“I AM” is the most powerful affirmation.

Doing is of course really important, because whatever you do, you become. But doing gives you a purpose, or a direction, not a meaning.
BE-coming begins with BE-ing, that’s why it starts with BE.
You do, because you are, not the other way around. Doing is “the effect”, meaning is “the cause”.

The first time I found the answer I wrote in my journal: “The meaning of life is a life without meaning”.
Because I didn’t write any extra details, I don’t remember what was my logic. A sort of existential nihilism probably…
Today I don’t think that answer is complete.

Quotes

Every path is the right path. Everything could have been anything else and it would have just as much meaning.
– Mr. Nobody Movie (2009)

The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.
– Alan Watts
