Conspiracy theory
People run into conspiracy theories because they're searching for truth and they can't find it on mainstream media.
Also people love gossip and stories and these kinds of theories either sound pleasing, or frightful, but they are interesting or intriguing in a way.
The older the theory is, the harder it becomes to find the truth… Websites, articles and social media posts are lost from the internet over time.
"Conspiracy theorist" was a phrase made up by the CIA after the Kennedy assassination to keep people from listening to those that looked beyond what the news released. Controlling information is extremely powerful.
Ad Hominem fallacy: calling somebody a "conspiracy theorist", ignoring everything they say and not addressing the issues raised by that person.
Quotes
Strange how paranoia can link up with reality now and then.
– Philip K. Dick, A Scanner Darkly
It is also important for the State to inculcate in its subjects an aversion to any "conspiracy theory of history" for a search for "conspiracies" means a search for motives and an attribution of responsibility for historical misdeeds.
– Rothbard, Anatomy of the State
Labeling those who denounce the existence of a conspiracy as "conspiracy theorists" confirms, if anything, that the conspiracy exists, and the authors are upset at having been found out and reported to public opinion.
Years ago, those who spoke of the new world order were called conspiracy theorists. Today, all of the world leaders, speak with impunity about the new world order, describing it exactly in the terms identified by the so-called conspiracy theorists.
It is enough to read the globalists' declaractions to understand that the conspiracy exists and that they pride themselves on being its architects, to the point of admitting the need for a pandemic in order to reach their objectives of social engineering.
– Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, 1 jan 2021
Only puny secrets need protection. Big discoveries are protected by public incredulity.

The pilots who make it rain

The BBC spreading conspiracy theories about chemtrails back in 2016!
A rare group of pilots fly missions into storm clouds, encouraging the rain to fall with formidable flying skills and simple chemistry.
Cloud seeding, the practice of injecting certain materials into storm cells to enhance precipitation, has drawn interest from a growing number of water-strapped countries – particularly in the past five years. Currently, around 60 countries on five continents are operating cloud seeding operations to enhance rainfall, mainly for reservoirs, watershed, and agriculture.
“You don’t learn this stuff anywhere else,” says Ahlness, whose company was founded in 1961 after large-scale crop loss due to hail in North Dakota. WMI has since done seeding projects in countries such as Senegal, Mali, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Australia. They get a lot of phone calls and emails when things are dry – whether from Texas, China, or the Middle East – with people asking them to “fix” their clouds.
Initial research in weather modification began in the late 1940s, mainly in the US; by the 1960s and 1970s, thanks to major funding from General Electric, cloud seeding gathered pace. But the following two decades saw a gradual lapse in interest and investment, a loss of confidence spurred by unrealistic claims. At least in the US; in places like South Africa, Australia, and Israel, the research continued.
However, only recently have efforts really started picking up again, says Deon Terblanche, who oversees the various climate and weather programmes at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
Clouds of secrecy -- chemtrails

In the 1950s as the Cold War escalated, there were fears that Britain as an exposed, vulnerable island could be devastated by a biological or chemical warfare attack.
Ministry of Defence scientists from Porton Down in Wiltshire wanted to investigate how easily a huge cloud of deadly germs could spread across the country.
Between 1953 and 1964 top secret trials were carried out using a chemical concoction of zinc cadmium sulphide to simulate how a cloud would disperse biological agents.
The unsuspecting population was sprayed covertly with the poisonous compound at least 76 times.

The past Porton Down can't hide
By Rob Evans, posted Thu 6 May 2004
https://www.theguardian.com/science/2004/may/06/science.research
As an inquest reopens into the death of a young airman 51 years ago, Rob Evans reveals the secrets of Britain's nerve gas tests.
The Porton experiments on humans have attracted a good deal of criticism. It is, for example, alleged that the human "guinea pigs' - drawn from the armed forces and supposedly all volunteers - were duped into taking part in the tests. There are still concerns that the tests have damaged the long-term health of the human subjects.
This week, its work has been thrown into the spotlight once again: an inquest was reopened into the death, in May 1953, of a young airman, Ronald Maddison. He died after liquid nerve gas was dripped on to his arm by Porton scientists in an experiment. The original inquest decided that his death was accidental, but this new inquest will examine fresh evidence and decide if the verdict should stand.
But what were the scientists at Porton doing? Years after the experiments ended, did they achieve anything of scientific value? The Guardian has pieced together a comprehensive and surprising picture of the nerve gas experiments, drawn from reports of the tests uncovered at the Public Record Office and new documents obtained under the "open government" code.
From 1945 to 1989, Porton exposed more than 3,400 human "guinea pigs" to nerve gas. It seems probable that Porton has tested more human subjects with nerve gas, for the longest period of time, than any other scientific establishment in the world. Two other nations have admitted testing nerve gas on humans: the American military exposed about 1,100 soldiers between 1945 and 1975, and Canada tested a small number before 1968. Other countries, including France, the old Soviet Union and Iraq, are also likely to have exposed humans to nerve gas, but very little is known about their tests.
The group of chemicals known as nerve gases were first developed as weapons by the Nazis before and during the second world war. German scientists discovered the potency of these organophosphorous compounds which, in tiny quantities, disrupt a key element of the nervous system.
Human muscles contract when a chemical, acetylcholine, is released from the nerve endings. Muscles do not exist in a permanent form of contraction because acetylecholine is destroyed in a split second by an enzyme (acetylcholinesterase), thus allowing the muscle to relax again. Nerve gases inactivate this important enzyme, and since it is prevented from working, the muscle goes into a state of spasm from which it cannot be relaxed. Victims die because the most important muscles in the body - those of the heart and the rib cage, which control the emptying and filling of the lungs - are paralysed. They suffocate swiftly in a horrifying death.
The nerve gases are more deadly than any other chemical weapon, but during the second world war, only the Germans had spotted their full potential and produced an arsenal of the munitions. As one Porton official has commented, the British and their allies were "caught with our pants down".
The Weather

I am going to talk about clouds. Specifically what has become known as chemtrails. I personally don’t remember seeing very straight lines like this 20 or 30 years ago, despite spending lots of time outdoors, looking at the sky and being interested in meteorology. I liked hurricanes, lightning, weather patterns and topography, just for fun. Learning the names of the types of clouds as best I could and taking pictures of them once I got into photography.
Over the years they have done various things and created technologies to ‘assist’ they say. There is a system called HAARP for auroral research, and various patents involving weather modification technology. Spain admitted to changing the weather in 2015 to stop rain, China cloud seeded to keep the weather clear for the Olympics they say, causing huge flooding in Nepal. Tasmania even did some, just before a storm – although they say it had no effect. The question was asked though, why would you try and make rain clouds, just before a huge rainstorm had already been forecast? Yet people are seen as crazy for seeing that as enough of a pattern to question things and remain suspicious. Especially when they appear to be using every bit of weather for the purposes of shouting climate change, it seems even more reason to question.

Conspiracy theory thread
https://twitter.com/fitnessfeelingz/status/1541845075956826114
The standard defense against any conspiracy theory is it's impossible to keep a secret of any magnitude, or at the highest levels of power, thus conspiracy theories are necessarily false.
1st, by definition, any conspiracy theory under discussion involves events which haven't been successfully hidden. Had they been, discussion would be impossible. Thus, the objection that all conspiracy theories must be false because they allege hidden dynamics makes no sense.
Conspiracy theories, in fact, make the opposite claim, that the dynamics of many events are not hidden, and are available to be understood, either through whistleblowers, primary sources, conflicting evidence, and so on.
The issue is not so much that facts, plots, or dynamics are utterly concealed, as they are prevented from entering into public consciousness, both by the media and by the public’s lack of desire to investigate for themselves.
As McLuhan observed, "Only puny secrets need protection. Big discoveries are protected by public incredulity."
2nd, the claim that it's impossible to hide anything for any amount of time is empirically false. We can look at the Manhattan project as an example of a dark project which no one breathed a word about. Until the weapons were unleashed, no one was any the wiser.
Secrecy was maintained through compartmentalization, a technique central to intelligence tradecraft. Workers and scientists were told only what they needed to know, and communication was forbidden. No one could leak the project because no one part understood the whole.
3rd, we have to wonder, if it's impossible to keep any secrets, why does the American government bother with an elaborate system of classification? Why does any government?
4th, the idea that a conspiracy of any magnitude can't be kept secret, is a CIA talking point from memo 1035-960, which was sent to station chiefs worldwide, instructing them to push this idea via media assets, with the goal of discrediting challenges to the Warren Report.
5th, if you consider yourself a "dissident" a "revolutionary" a "populist" etc, you are cucking yourself buying into this conceptual frame. It relies on the idea that the wealthy and the powerful cannot successfully plot, cannot conspire, due to high levels of scrutiny.
Because the rich and powerful are aware of this alleged inability, it follows then, that most members of the regime would not even attempt such a thing, knowing it would fail.
Taking this framing one step further, we reach the inevitable conclusion that the only people who would plot, conspire, or attempt to do large-scale wrongs, are those those lacking formal power and its attendant scrutiny i.e all of us.
When you accept the logic of this 'defense' against accusation of conspiracy, you accept a framework that will always exonerate the powerful, your enemy, while casting suspicion on the average person.
Finally, is it not strange that mainstream narratives, which are supposedly rock-solid, verifiable, etc. tend to be defended not on those grounds, on the particular facts of the issue, but using this propaganda point originating from the CIA?
UN declares war on 'dangerous' conspiracy theories: 'The World Is NOT secretly manipulated by Global Elite'
Published August 3, 2022

https://gilmermirror.com/2022/08/06/un-declares-war-on-dangerous-conspiracy-theories-the-world-is-not-secretly-manipulated-by-global-elite
The United Nations has declared war on conspiracy theories, describing the rise of conspiracy thinking as "worrying and dangerous", and providing the public with a toolkit to "prebunk" and "debunk" anybody who dares to suggest that world governments are anything but completely honest, upstanding and transparent.
The UN also warns that George Soros, the Rothschilds and the State of Israel must not be linked to any "alleged conspiracies."
UNESCO has teamed up with Twitter, the European Commission and the World Jewish Congress to launch the campaign dubbed "ThinkBeforeSharing": Stop the spread of conspiracy theories.
The UN wants you to know that events are NOT "secretly manipulated behind the scenes by powerful forces with negative intent" and if you encounter anybody who thinks the global elite are conspiring to consolidate power and dictate global events, you must take action.
According to UNESCO, "if you are certain you have encountered a conspiracy theory" on the internet then you must "react" immediately post a relevant link to a "fact-checking website" in the comments.
(Never mind the fact that "fact checkers" are mostly untrained and unqualified hacks performing "fact checks" from the comfort of their bedroom in between posting far-left political content on personal blogs and getting high.)
Remarkably, hidden in the fine print, UNESCO admit that conspiracy theories do exist. Under the heading "What is a real conspiracy?" the United Nations bureaucrats explain that "real conspiracies large and small DO exist."
According to the UN, it’s only a REAL conspiracy theory if it’s "unearthed by the media."
